To provide sound and innovative advice to the National Institute of Public Administration (INAP) of Guatemala technical team and other relevant stakeholders, on the importance of changing mindsets for innovation and digital transformation for long-term institutional development and service provision, the INAP and the United Nations Department of Economic and Social Affairs (UN DESA), through its Division for Public Institutions and Digital Government (DPIDG), in collaboration with the Resident Coordinator Office in Guatemala are co-organizing a Training of Trainers (ToT) workshop with the objective of supporting the adaption and contextualization of the content of UN DESA’s Curriculum on Governance for the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), in particular the main modules of the toolkit on Changing Mindsets in Public Institutions to Implement the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development. The toolkit is part of the Curriculum on Governance for the SDGs which was developed by UN DESA/DPIDG.
The main strategic objective for this in-person workshop is to work with INAP’s trainers, educators, experts and technical staff to further evaluate and then customize the translated training materials contained in the Toolkits on Changing Mindsets in Public Institutions to Implement the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development (which were originally presented on an online workshop) to the needs of Guatemala as identified by INAP and help them develop the necessary skills to be able to carry-on the training of Guatemala’s civil service on the important role they play in SDGs implementation.
