18th Internet Governance Forum: "The Internet We Want - Empowering All People"

The 18th annual meeting of the Internet Governance Forum will be hosted by the Government of Japan in Kyoto from 8 to 12 October 2023. The Forum's overarching theme is: The Internet We Want - Empowering All People.

Building on the results of the call for thematic issues the MAG decided that the 18th annual IGF programme will develop around the following sub-themes:

Expert Group Meeting on “Enhanced Innovation to Build Resilient and Responsive Public Administration to Support the Implementation of the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development – An SDGs Mid-Term Review Perspectives”

The Expert Group Meeting on “Enhancing Innovation to Build Resilient and Responsive Public Administration to Support the Implementation of the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development – an SDGs Mid-Term Review Perspective” is organized by the Public Service Innovation Branch (PISB), Division of Public Institutions and Digital Government (DPIDG), the United Nations Department of Economic and Social Affairs (UN DESA). It will take place on 7-8 September 2023 at the Conference Room B, United Nations, New York.

Capacity Building Workshop on Implementing New Approaches to E-government for SDG Implementation

UN DESA/DPIDG and the D-8 Organization will organize a Capacity Building Workshop on Implementing New Approaches to E-government for SDG Implementation. This Workshop will serve as a continuation of the online Workshop conducted in March, particularly to address the challenges presented during that Workshop. The workshop is designed to build the capacity of relevant officials, who are responsible for shaping the digital transformation policy, for answering to the ever-growing challenges they face in implementing their respective digital transformation agendas.
