This study starts from this reality, in which there are efforts in various countries to improve the monitoring and evaluation of public management, seek coincidences of approaches and lessons that can be drawn by comparing their experiences and to unify criteria and facilitate the design and management of systems of indicators.

This case study places particular emphasis on leadership and organizational culture as drivers of innovation. It also argues the key for local governments keen to embrace digital innovation is to create a culture that accepts change, innovation, and even failure.

That the participants acquire conceptual and practical tools that allow them to operate with a broad vision of their role as trainers and as learning agents, and of the training opportunities offered by the public organization.

The IPAC Award for Innovative Management Award aims to recognize and encourage innovation in all public organizations and across all orders of governments. It also provides an opportunity to share these good ideas with others. Past award recipients have developed new approaches to combat homelessness, tax fraud, and improve opportunities for Aboriginal communities.
