African Association for Public Administration and Management (AAPAM) organizes an Annual Roundtable Conference held in various countries across the continent. The Association also holds other conferences focusing on current critical issues in African public administration and management in order to increase the knowledge and skills of policy-makers and all stakeholders across the continent.

World e-Parliament Conference Report 2009

The World e-Parliament Conference 2009 took place at the U.S. House of Representatives in Washington, D.C., on 3, 4 and 5 November 2009. It provided a platform to exchange views on the latest trends and different modalities of implementation of new technologies in legislatures with a view to identify good practices in the areas of representation, transparency, accountability, openness, and effectiveness. This report summarizes the presentations and practices showcased during the different sessions and highlights the main points of discussion.

The Human Factor in Capacity-Building for Development - Committee of Experts on Public Administration

The present note by the Secretariat has been prepared on the basis of an outline provided by the members of the Committee of Experts on Public Administration. The Committee adopted the theme of the human factor in capacity-building for development, as the main agenda item for its eighth session (see Economic and Social Council decision 2008/254). The present note has been prepared to establish the understanding that people matter most in development because they are its beneficiaries as well as its architects. This is the crux of the human factor in capacity-building for development.

The NISPAcee Journal of Public Administration and Policy, Volume XIV, Number 1

NISPAcee launched the NISPAcee Journal of Public Administration and Policy in 2008. The Journal is predominantly devoted to public administration, public policy and public governance issues in Central and Eastern Europe, but high-level submissions from any other part of the world are also considered, especially if they focus on the issues relevant to the NISPAcee region. The goal is to publish top quality papers based on empirical research (of qualitative, quantitative or mixed character), theoretical articles and literature reviews, developing general public administration, public policy and public governance theory, or their specific dimensions.

The KIPA Public Policy Review, KIPA PPR, is a journal published by the Korea Institute of Public Administration, KIPA. The journal seeks to advance scholarly discourse in public administration and policy and addresses public policy practice by sharing robust policy research findings and best policy practices worldwide. The Vol.2, Issue 1 focuses on response to COVID-19 and post-pandemic recovery.
