The ASPA 2025 Annual Conference will take place March 28-April 1, 2025 in Washington, DC.
This position is located in the United Nations Project Office on Governance (UNPOG), based in Incheon City/Republic of Korea, which is a project office of the Division for Public Institutions and Digital Government (DPIDG) of the United Nations Department of Economic and Social Affairs (UN DESA). The incumbent reports to the Director of the Division. The Head of UNPOG will ensure that the project office’s work is aligned with the 2021 United Nations Secretary-General Report on “Our Common Agenda”, UN DESA’s Action Plan as well as DPIDG’s strategic framework and priorities.

Within the framework of the UN Behavioural Science Week, a session on Behavioural Science and Organisational Behaviour (Wednesday 5 June, 11am-12 pm EDT) is being organized by UN DESA, DOS, DMSPC, IAEA and UNSSC. The session will highlight experiences from UN DESA, DOS, DMSPC, IAEA and UNSSC applying behavioural science to change the way organisations work.
The 2024 Webinar Series on Effective Governance and the Quintet of Change for the Implementation of the Sustainable Development Goals is organized by the United Nations Department of Economic and Social Affairs, Division for Public Institutions and Digital Government (UN DESA/DPIDG), through its Programme Management and Capacity Development Unit. This report provides an overview of the capacity development activities that UN DESA’s Division for Public Institutions and Digital Government (DPIDG) conducted in 2023, including the substantive support provided to the reinvigorated UN Resident Coordinator system, the development of new strategy guidance notes and methodologies, requests it received from Member States and how these were addressed, as well as the key outcomes of its capacity development support.
