The present note highlights the major activities undertaken by the Secretariat in 2008 under the United Nations Programme in Public Administration and Finance for review by the Committee of Experts on Public Administration and also considers the current process of organizational changes that have been undertaken by the Secretariat with a view to streamlining the operations of the Programme and strengthening its capacities to address the needs of Member States.

This note also presents, for review and approval by the Committee, the main activities proposed for implementation during the period 2010-2011. The Committee is requested to provide feedback to the Secretariat on both the scope and direction of the reorganization mentioned above and the proposed activities.
