Innovation and Service Delivery

GEMS indicator aims to measure the maturity of government services provided through the portal and through mobile applications in the Arab region. It seeks to bridge the gap in most of the international indicators, related to service maturity, its use and user satisfaction. To this end, 84 government services have been identified, and it is necessary for each country to deliver them electronically for individuals and businesses. The principle of life cycle has been adopted in service selection; any individual needs these services at different stages of life, and each company requires them since its establishment to its close.

The IPAC Award for Innovative Management Award aims to recognize and encourage innovation in all public organizations and across all orders of governments. It also provides an opportunity to share these good ideas with others. Past award recipients have developed new approaches to combat homelessness, tax fraud, and improve opportunities for Aboriginal communities.

The response must be at the core of any recovery initiative to eradicate this contagion, and allow governments to resume their efforts towards a secure, just and prosperous state. 

ESCWA and the WHO EMRO are jointly organizing a high-level discussion in collaboration with UNICEF and UNFPA on agile government practice.

The summit was organized in the framework of the Berlin Process and the Multi-Annual Action Plan on Regional Economic Area (MAP-REA) for the Western Balkans and aimed at showcasing good practices in the Western Balkans, highlighting the achievements and outcomes of the Digital Agenda, and exploring possibilities of building partnerships with the private sector, in the context of the digital transformation process.

This framework facilitates the development of new policies for successful policies to be replicated, including incentives, and for learning and experience sharing to be promoted. ​

The Ministry of Justice Spain developed the Justicia Digital: La visión 360º de la Seguridad (Digital Justice: 360 vision of security) quality plan in 2016 to improve the administrative management of all existing judicial offices in its field through enhanced ICT and training to professionals using it.
