Release of the Report on Building Transparent, Accountable and Inclusive Institutions from the UNGASS 2021

The United Nations Department of Economic and Social Affairs and the Group of States against Corruption of the Council of Europe (GRECO) co-organized a joint side event on "Building Transparent, Accountable and Inclusive Institutions" in the context of the Special Session of the General Assembly (UNGASS) Against Corruption 2021. The side event took place on Wednesday, June 2, 2021 and, was held virtually via Zoom.

Release of the Report on Transparency, Accountability and Ethics in Public Institutions with a focus on Public Procurement in Kenya

The United Nations Department of Economic and Social Affairs (UN DESA), through its Division for Public Institutions and Digital Government (DPIDG), the Kenya School of Government (KSG) and the Kenya Institute of Supplies Management (KISM) co-organized an online training workshop on piloting a Toolkit on "Transparency, Accountability and Ethics in Public Institutions", developed by UN DESA/DPIDG. Selected modules from the Toolkit were covered during an online training workshop.

COVID-19: Public Administration Review of ASPA publishes open access virtual issue on public emergency management

In light of COVID-19, Public Administration Review - the scientific journal published on behalf of UNPAN Member American Society for Public Administration - has created an open access virtual issue on emergency management. The articles included in the issue discuss the logistical and theoretical aspects of navigating public emergencies. Topics include natural disaster management, collaboration across jurisdictions, policy implementation, and public finance crises.

The overall objective of the consultancy is to draft and complete the “Five-Year Evaluation of the United Nations Project Office on Governance”.

Expected duration

The consultant will work for 30 days within five months from 1 March - 9 July 2021

The fee will be commensurate with experience using the UN standard human resource guidelines for consultants.
