The UNDESA, UN ESCAP, and UNU-EGOV will organize the workshop in a face-to-face setting in Bangkok on 21-23 November 2023. The workshop will comprise six sessions, each of which will be facilitated by competent resource persons and experts from relevant agencies. The proposed agenda and program of work for the workshop are enclosed below.

i) Strengthen national capacities for spreading digitization at the local level, thereby advancing SDG 11, by providing knowledge and technical support;

The United Nations Department of Economic and Social Affairs (UN DESA), through its Division for Public Institutions and Digital Government (DPIDG), in collaboration with the United Nations Economic and Social Commission for Asia and the Pacific (UN ESCAP), is organizing a regional capacity development webinar to launch the Curriculum on Governance for the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) (the “Curriculum”) in the Asia-Pacific region.

The South Asian Network for Public Administration will hold a webinar on "Sustainable Development Goals-Where Do We Stand? Moving Forward - Challenges and Opportunities" on 15 October 2022, at 5:30 PM (Dhaka, Bangladesh Time). This event will feature esteemed speakers from Australia, Bangladesh, India, Qatar, the Philippines, and Nepal.

In pursuit of promoting the role of the public administration in building smart institutions and systems in the digital age, NAPA is organizing the virtual international workshop “Smart City Development: The Role of Government” on 19 October 2022, 9:00 AM to 11:00 AMViet Nam time (UTC+7) in collaboration with the Eastern Regional Organization for Public Administration (EROPA) and University of Canberra, Australia (enclosed is the workshop tentative agenda).
