Global Launch of the UN E-Government Survey 2022

The UN E-Government Survey 2022 will be launched on 28 September 2022. The theme of the 12th edition of the Survey is “The Future of Digital Government”. The Survey looks at how digital government can facilitate integrated policies and services across the 193 United Nations Member States. It supports countries’ efforts to provide effective, accountable and inclusive digital services to all and to bridge the digital divide and leave no one behind.

DPIDG Met with the State Agency for Public Service and Social Innovations under the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan on ASAN Services

On 13 September 2022, UN DESA/DPIDG’s Director and his team met with Abdul Aliyev, Head of the International Relations Department, and his team from the State Agency for Public Service and Social Innovations under the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan (SAPSSI) to exchange knowledge about the advancements of the ASAN service model and discuss future avenues of cooperation. The “ASAN service” centers, which won the United Nations Public Service Awards in 2015, was established by the Decree of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan in July 2012.

Handbook on how to design and implement One-stop-Shops to promote better service delivery and implement the Sustainable Development Goals

This Handbook, prepared by UN DESA/DPIDG, provides local and national governments with a set of conceptual approaches, practical strategies, and tools to improve the delivery of public services through citizen centric One-stop-Shops (OSS). It includes guidance on how to prepare an action plan to establish One-stop-Shops for public service delivery systems.
