2021 Korean Association for Public Administration International Conference (KAPA) on "Restructuring Government and Public Serviceto the Era of Digital Transformation and Pandemic" 

The Korean Association for Public Administration (KAPA) is pleased to open the call for proposals for the 2021 KAPA international conference. The KAPA 2021 International Conference brings scholars and practitioners together to discuss important current and emerging issues and solutions in the public sector. This year’s conference will take place entirely online after careful consideration of the state of the pandemic.

Fifth International Conference on Public Policy (ICPP5) – Barcelona 2021

The conference is jointly organized by the International Public Policy Association (IPPA) and the Institut Barcelona d’Estudis Internacionals (IBEI). The Universitat de Barcelona (UB), the Universitat Pompeu Fabra (UPF) and the Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona (UAB) also collaborate in the organization of this edition. Following the success of the previous editions of the Biennial International Conference on Public Policy (ICPP) (Grenoble 2013, Milan 2015, Singapore 2017, Montreal 2019 with more than 1300 attendees), the ICPP5 will become the most important international conference for Policy Research. 

The 29th NISPAcee Annual Conference on "Citizens' Engagement and Empowerment -The Era of Collaborative Innovation in Governance"

Organized by the Network of Institutes and Schools of Public Administration in Central and Eastern Europe (NISPAcee) and the Faculty of Public Administration, University of Ljubljana, the NISPAcee Annual Conference 2021 is expected to attract papers that will invigorate discussion on the possible methods of citizens' empowerment in the Central and Eastern European (CEE) region, in connection to its developments/traditions, governance practices, regulatory framework, financial capacity, public policy, digitalisation processes, human resource management and public administration itself. 

Civil Society Days 2020 on “Building A Sustainable Future for European Citizens?”

The European Economic and Social Committee (EESC) Civil Society Days are intended to be a public forum to connect European citizens, civil society organisations and European institutions for a debate about the defining task of our times and the most pressing challenge for Europe, namely "keeping our planet and people healthy". 

2021 EGPA Conference

The EGPA 2021 Conference is organized by the European Group for Public Administration by EGPA/IIAS Secretariat in close cooperation with key partners.  It is the annual meeting of a community of Public Administration academics, young researchers and practitioners in Europe and key EGPA/IIAS partners. 

IIAS 2020 Anniversary Conference on “Public Governance for Climate Action”

The International Institute of Administrative Sciences (IIAS) is a learned society in public administration, established in 1930 to design public administration solutions to the policy challenges of the day. To celebrate its 90th anniversary, it organizes its 2020 Conference in Brussels, the host city of the institution. The Federal Public Service Finances hosts the IIAS Secretariat, and the Conference in the Finance Tower.

The 10th ECI Day 2021: Empower Citizens to Impact on the Future of Europe

The European Citizens' Initiative (ECI) is a welcome instrument for participatory democracy at European level. Introduced by the Lisbon Treaty, it entered into force in 2012 and allows Europeans to make legislative proposals and participate in decision-making by connecting directly with EU institutions. It is a chance for them to discuss and influence key policies and it sheds further light on the public's view of the EU's agenda and priorities. The ECI Day is an important forum and platform where registered and future ECI organisers and stakeholders can exchange information and experiences and present their ECI and activities to the public.

Report on Changing Mindsets and Governance Capacities for Policy Coherence for a Holistic Implementation of the 2030 Agenda in the Arab Region

This report summarizes the key messages that were conveyed by facilitators, participants and external speakers during the online training workshop on “Changing Mindsets and Strengthening Governance Capacities for Policy Coherence for a Holistic Implementation of the 2030 Agenda in the Arab region”. The workshop was organized by the United Nations Department of Economic and Social Affairs of the United Nations (UN DESA), through its Division for Public Institutions and Digital Government (DPIDG) and the United Nations Economic and Social Commission for Western Asia (UNESCWA). It was held virtually on 26 and 28 January and 2 and 4 February 2021.

This report summarizes key messages emanating and participants’ feedback from the side event on the theme of Building Transparent, Accountable and Inclusive Institutions at the Special Session of the General Assembly against Corruption (UNGASS) 2021. The side event was organized by the United Nations Department of Economic and Social Affairs (UN DESA) through its Division for Public Institutions and Digital Government (DPIDG), together with the Group of States against Corruption of the Council of Europe (GRECO) was held on the 2nd of June 2021.
