Virtual Workshop on “Smart City Development: The Role of Government”

In pursuit of promoting the role of the public administration in building smart institutions and systems in the digital age, NAPA is organizing the virtual international workshop “Smart City Development: The Role of Government” on 19 October 2022, 9:00 AM to 11:00 AMViet Nam time (UTC+7) in collaboration with the Eastern Regional Organization for Public Administration (EROPA) and University of Canberra, Australia (enclosed is the workshop tentative agenda). The workshop will focus on concepts and trends of smart city development and criteria of a sustainable smart city; opportunities, challenges, and the role of national and sub-national governments in smart city development; and solutions to promote the role and capacity of the government in sustainable smart city development.

Presenting at the workshops are leading experts in smart cities Professor Gi Heon Kwon from Sungkyunkwan University, South Korea, Professor Richard Hu from the University of Canberra, Australia, and other scholars from NAPA and EROPA network. We are expecting more than a hundred scholars, practitioners, and policymakers from Viet Nam and other countries to participate in this virtual international workshop.
