Fifteen initiatives from Brazil, Colombia, Ecuador, Germany, Indonesia, Jordan, Latvia, Portugal, Republic of Korea, South Africa, Tanzania and Thailand will be recognized at the UN Public Service Awards Ceremony, to be held at the conclusion of the UN Public Service Forum on 26 June.
Co-organized by the UN Department of Economic and Social Affairs (UN DESA) and the Ministry of the Interior and Safety of the Republic of Korea (MOIS), the Forum will take place in Incheon, Republic of Korea, from 24 to 26 June 2024 under the theme ‘Fostering Innovation amid Global Challenges: A Public Sector Perspective’. It will provide a platform for public administrators to share experiences in the realm of public administration and service delivery, with a focus on innovation and transformation to make local and national public administrations better able to meet development objectives amid complex global challenges. In addition to the plenary, there will be a number of workshops facilitated by UN DESA and MOIS.
