The United Nations Department of Economic and Social Affairs (UN DESA, through the Division for Public Institutions and Digital Government (DPIDG), and its Project Office on Governance (UNPOG) will organize a webinar to introduce the newly launched eLearning Course on “Effective National to Local Public Governance for SDG Implementation”(Toolkit).
Based on the UN DESA Curriculum on Governance for the SDGs, the Toolkit was developed in 2021 focusing on strengthening public institutions at national and local level to promote more consistent implementation of SDGs.
In 2023, the toolkit has been converted into a self-paced eLearning course available to all interested policymakers, practitioners and interested stakeholders for free on the UN DESA Digital Learning Centre and the UNSSC Blue Line platform. The eLearning course offers accessibility features.
Objectives
This webinar aims to introduce the content, purpose, and accessibility features of the eLearning course on “Effective National to Local Public Governance for SDG Implementation”, which is designed to enhance public sector capacities for risk-informed policymaking and resilience through the exploration of mechanisms related to emerging technology adoption and utilization.
