The 41st AAPAM Annual Roundtable Conference will be hold at the University of the Western Cape, Cape Town, South Africa on 6-9 December 2022.

The theme of the conference is Africa's Renewal in the Era of Sustainable Development: Shared Responsibility for Strengthening Institutions.

The 41st Roundtable conference will provide platforms for knowledge sharing, mentorship, capacity building and networking through activities including sideline meetings, plenary sessions, breakaway, and specialized session specifically designed for various groups such as academia, researchers, cabinet secretaries, young professionals, ministers, heads of public service among others. AAPAM Roundtable conferences draws the participation of representatives including ministers, heads of public service, cabinet secretaries, managers, administrators, scholars, researchers, young professionals, students, and private sector practitioners from Africa and beyond. AAPAM partners and associates from other parts of the world will also be in attendance to share international perspective on strengthening institutions as envisioned in Agenda 2063 and the SDGs.

This year’s Roundtable conference will also witness the thirteenth (13 th) AAPAM Innovative Management Award (IMA) Ceremony and AAPAM sixth (6th) Gold Medal Award. The IMA promotes excellence and best practice by recognizing and celebrating institutional creativity in enhancing service delivery in the continent while the gold medal is awarded to an individual who has made outstanding contribution to Public Administration and management in the continent. Similarly, a new Executive Committee and Council will be elected at a General Assembly by AAPAM members.
