This report summarizes key messages emanating and participants’ feedback from the side event on the theme of Building Transparent, Accountable and Inclusive Institutions at the Special Session of the General Assembly against Corruption (UNGASS) 2021. The side event was organized by the United Nations Department of Economic and Social Affairs (UN DESA) through its Division for Public Institutions and Digital Government (DPIDG), together with the Group of States against Corruption of the Council of Europe (GRECO) was held on the 2nd of June 2021.

International Review of Administrative Sciences (IRAS) is an international peer-reviewed journal devoted to academic and professional public administration. The World e-Parliament Report 2010 examines how global and regional inter-parliamentary cooperation can exploit synergies among nations to help parliaments in developing countries bridge the digital divide by overcoming the barriers of limited resources and technical constraints. It proposes to the parliamentary and donor communities a shared framework for e-parliament based on strategic goals that serve democracy, good governance, and the attainment of the internationally agreed development goals.

The World e-Parliament Conference 2009 took place at the U.S. House of Representatives in Washington, D.C., on 3, 4 and 5 November 2009. It provided a platform to exchange views on the latest trends and different modalities of implementation of new technologies in legislatures with a view to identify good practices in the areas of representation, transparency, accountability, openness, and effectiveness. This report summarizes the presentations and practices showcased during the different sessions and highlights the main points of discussion.

The present report contains the conclusions and recommendations of the eighth session of the Committee of Experts on Public Administration, which was held at United Nations Headquarters from 30 March to 3 April 2009.

The present note highlights the major activities undertaken by the Secretariat in 2008 under the United Nations Programme in Public Administration and Finance for review by the Committee of Experts on Public Administration and also considers the current process of organizational changes that have been undertaken by the Secretariat with a view to streamlining the operations of the Programme and strengthening its capacities to address the needs of Member States.
