In its forthcoming 22nd session held from 27 to 31 March at UN Headquarters in New York, the UN Committee of Experts on Public Administration (CEPA) will discuss key aspects of the theme “Urgently transforming institutions for a greener, more inclusive and more resilient world at a time of multiple crises”. The 22nd Session of CEPA will be streamed live via UN Web TV. Continental Workshop on the Voluntary National Reviews for the 2023 HLPF and the Domestication of Agenda 2063

UN DESA/DPIDG, Division for Sustainable Development Goals (DSDG) and Office of Intergovernmental Support and Coordination for the Sustainable Development Goals (OISC), and the African Peer Review Mechanism (APRM) are co-organizing a continental workshop on the Voluntary National Reviews (VNRs) for the 2023 high level political forum (HLPF) and the Domestication of Agenda 2063, to be held in Durban, South Africa from 15-17 March 2023. The workshop will be opened by USG Mr. Li Junhua and involve a regional platform for peer learning between 25 African countries, seven of which are presenting their VNRs at the high-level political forum in July 2023.

The United Nations Department of Economic and Social Affairs (UN DESA), through its Division for Public Institutions and Digital Government (DPIDG), will organize a “Presidential Summit on Mainstreaming the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) in the Curricula of Schools of Public Administration”. The Presidential Summit will build on meetings of the Global Network of Schools of Public Administration spearheaded by DPIDG as part of the Global Initiative on Building Capacities of Public Servants for the implementation of the SDGs.

Capacity Development Training Workshop on Changing Mindsets in Public Institutions to Realize the 2030 Agenda in Pakistan

UN DESA/DPIDG and UNPOG, in collaboration with UNRCO in Pakistan and the Civil Services Academy (CSA) Lahore, are co-organizing a hybrid two-day Capacity Development Training Workshop on Changing Mindsets in Public Institutions to Realize the 2030 Agenda in Pakistan (26-27 January). The Training Workshop is being organized for the Officers of the Pakistan Administrative Service (PAS) of the CSA. It aims to explore ways of changing the mindsets of institutions to align them with the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development. The workshop will also offer a platform to discuss emerging challenges, opportunities, and the need to create innovative solutions to ensure the successful implementation of the 2030 Agenda in Pakistan.

UN DESA and UN ECLAC are organizing a webinar on the UN E-Government Survey 2022: Advances and challenges of digital government in Latin America and the Caribbean on 14 December at 9am (New York)/11am (Chile).The objective of this webinar is to present the main results for Latin America and the Caribbean of the 12th version of the United Nations E-Government Survey, launched at the end of September 2022 and to promote a discussion regarding the advances and gaps to ensure that digital government continues to be a powerful driver to promote a sustainable future for all. Simultaneous interpretation in English and Spanish will be provided, supported by the Government of the Republic of Korea.

The 2022 Annual Meeting of the Global Initiative with Schools of Public Administration on "Mainstreaming the SDGs in the Curricula of Schools of Public Administration, New Mindsets and Competencies" will be organized by the UN DESA/DPIDG and it's United Nations Project Office on Governance (UNPOG), and in collaboration with the Asian Association for Public Administration (AAPA) and the Eastern Regional Organization for Public Administration (EROPA). The 2022 Annual Meeting aims to provide an opportunity for schools of public administration and institutes of training to present their progress in mainstreaming the SDGs in their curricula.
