Curriculum on Governance for Implementing the SDGs
Public servants are at the heart of countries' efforts to make institutions effective, accountable and inclusive, as elaborated in Sustainable Development Goal 16. Key principles of the 2030 Agenda, such as integrated approaches or leave no one behind, have deep implications for the way public servants work. The Curriculum on Governance for Implementing the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) aims to mobilize and equip public servants with the capacities needed to implement the 2030 Agenda and achieve the SDGs.
The purpose of the Curriculum is to “teach the SDGs” and highlight their implications for public servants and public administration. The Curriculum aims to promote awareness and critical understanding of sustainable development issues, strengthening public officials' awareness of their active role in contributing to the achievement of the SDGs. It includes training packages, modules, methodologies, online tools and toolkits and related (Training of Trainers) workshops that are developed together with schools of public administration and can help countries to implement the SDGs.
